Highlights

Every year, the Department of Theatre draws a rich collection of internationally-known artists and scholars who offer exciting programs to our community. The opportunity to engage in special workshops, guest lectures, and performances enrich our students' experiences and help make our Department unique.

Our own undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty also make significant contributions as artists and scholars both at UMD and outside the campus. They participate in professional productions; they receive regional and national awards; they win grants from organizations such as the National Endowment for the Humanities. All these achievements testify to the outstanding quality of our programs.
