YEAR
ONE: 12 – 15 Credits of Theatre Coursework

4 or 5 the fundamentals courses in the Foundation Series:
THET 112, THET 113, THET 114, THET 115, THET 116

semester:
- THET 112 or THET 113 or THET 115
- THET 114 or THET 116

Suggestions:
- Complete two Fundamentals courses in each semester; if schedule permits, complete
the fifth Fundamentals course this year as well.
- Students who plan to follow the acting sequence must take THET 112 the first year.
- Unless you are especially good at reading and writing, it's best not take THET 113 and THET 115 during the same semester.
- It's best not to take THET 114 and THET 116 in the same semester.
- Fundamentals courses may be taken in any sequence, but THET 112-116 must be
completed by the end of the third semester with the grade of “C” or better
YEAR
TWO: 11-14 Credits of Theatre Coursework
- Complete the 5th fundamentals
course (THET 112-116) by the end of the third semester
- Complete THET 288 the
3rd or 4th semester
- Complete one THET 479 (1 credit)
- Complete two courses from the Performance
Menu, or Design & Production Menu
- Complete one course from the History & Theory Menus
- Suggestions:
- Courses in the Area Menu may be taken after completing 4 of the 5 fundamentals
courses and meeting the prerequisites required.
- Note: performance courses above the 200-level require an audition
- Students in the acting sequence must take both THET 210 ad 220 before auditioning for 300-level performance courses.
YEAR
THREE: 17 Credits of Theatre Coursework
- Complete two courses from the Performance Menu or Design & Production Menu
- Complete two 400-level courses from the History & Theory Menu
- Complete two THET 479 (1 credit)
- Suggestions:
- By the end of the third year, the Area Menu courses should be completed.
- Supporting courses in a specific series (such as Acting) may be substituted
1-for-1 with requirements in the Area Menu
- Note: performance courses above the 200-level require an audition
- Be sure to plan on taking 27 credits of Upper Level courses.
YEAR
FOUR: 12 Credits of Theatre Coursework
- Final 15 credits from the Supporting Coursework Menu (or
courses in the Area Menu when substituted in the third year)
