CTE - Lilly Awards for Teaching Excellence

Leslie Felbain, Assistant Professor of Acting and Movement, has been named a 2007-08 CTE-Lilly Fellow by the Center for Teaching Excellence and the Office of Undergraduate Studies. This is a highly coveted, and competitive, honor. We congratulate Leslie on being selected; this award reflects her commitment to advancing and advocating for undergraduate education.

The Department of Theatre has been named as the recipient of the Departmental Award for Excellence and Innovation in Undergraduate Teaching by the CTE-Lilly Teaching Fellows, the Center for Teaching Excellence, and the Office of Undergraduate Studies. This award recognizes "the coordinated efforts across (the) entire department to address the challenges of integrating the fundamentals of theatre within and across (the) six-foundational courses (which) represent the innovations in teaching that define a great department and university." Our work is applauded as "an exemplary example of how faculty working together to connect content and learning within a discipline can transform a department and foster connections that enhance learning for both students and faculty." The department will receive a $5000 award as part of this recognition.
